Developmental Disability Services
The Beloit Regional Office serves a strong rural area steeped in traditions, farming and family values while still offering state-of-the-art educational, medical, and service opportunities.
In 1976, through a partnership with Mitchell County ARC, OCCK began providing services in Mitchell, Jewell and Lincoln counties. Today, the Beloit Regional Office provides a large array of quality services throughout its communities.
We have a strong commitment to children and youth as they transition to adulthood. Our active participation in the local transition council has educated students, parents, and their support groups, about self-advocacy and career awareness. The council has impacted the community by promoting inclusive workplaces and integration.
Through partnerships with local businesses such as Sunflower Manufacturing, a division of AGCO, people have the opportunity to learn work skills that lead to employment. Other training opportunities include running the Mitchell County Recycling Center and manufacturing logo buttons.
When you come to Beloit for services, we build a plan around you. Your plan is designed with as little or as much support as you need. Not only can you receive intensive services, but we can bring in an assortment of other services such as assistive technology, transition support, case management, information and referral, independent living, and more.
