Educational Supports
OCCK Inc. will partner with you to ensure you have the information needed to help you access educational services for your child. We recognize your life is your own and you should have good information to make decisions about what you want to do. We support children of all ages from pre-K through high school. If you have concerns about your child's performance, questions about school curriculum or special education, or needs that aren't being met at the school setting, we can help.
OCCK Inc. will provide support, assist in reviewing resources/laws, answer questions, attend Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings at your request, and provide you with resources to support your child. Prior to your IEP, we take time to discuss your needs, assist you to create a list of those needs to ensure you don't forget once you are at the IEP, and brainstorm to come up with possible support options.
During the IEP meeting we can provide individualized support as you request, such as note taker, cues to ensure you don't forget discussion points, make requests that you feel uncomfortable bringing up, and will support you if you need to stop the meeting and request an alternate meeting date.
