Work

OCCK, Inc. Employment Services believes many people want and need work that is challenging and rewarding.  A wide range of training opportunities are directed toward success at work including...

Contract work in local companies

Contract work in one of OCCK's work centers in Beloit, Concordia or Salina is also used to accomplish training goals.  The work centers do a variety of activities intended to build personal and social skills as well as work skills.

Training is also available in Quality Custodial Systems (QCS), a custodial company owned by OCCK, Inc.  QCS contracts with businesses to clean offices/buildings and maintains several rest areas on the interstate highway around Salina.

In Supported Employment services a job coach helps you locate jobs you might like, then helps you adjust to the work place.  As you become more comfortable in the job, the job coach sees you less and less.  A job coach is only involved when needed.  People have found jobs in grocery stores, department stores, manufacturing plants, restaurants, and fast food places doing many different things.

OCCK, Inc.

helps people find community resources and natural supports needed to be successful.

OCCK Services are...

voluntary, controlled by the individual, and designed to teach skills
designed to support and train not supervise and control peoples' lives
intended to teach skills needed to access natural community supports.
provided in an individual's home or apartment.  Because OCCK, Inc. owns a limited number of residential settings, most new services are provided in homes people own, lease or rent themselves.
